THE PROCLAMATION
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a foundation was laid not of stone, but of a promise. That promise stands today because of the service of those who have defended it—those whose dedication to the public good has preserved our Republic. Their service is a testament to the worth of this experiment. But the true weight of that promise rests with each of us, here and now. Whether or not one has worn a uniform or held a specific office, every citizen shares an equal stake in this experiment. To register, to learn, to deliberate, and to cast a vote is to honor the work of generations—ensuring that the Republic remains the master of its own destiny.
Today, the citizens’ influence is falling out of balance. When the power of concentrated capital outweighs the collective voice of the Many, our democracy falters. We see a path where the influence of a few becomes a gravitational force that pulls governance toward private benefit, leaving the public good to be grossly overlooked and ignored. This is not a matter of Red states or Blue states; it is a matter of the Republic versus the manipulation of the system.
The next thirty months represent a narrow window of restoration. To reclaim our institutions requires a majority that transcends binary labels—a “thoughtful majority” in the halls of Congress that cares for the people first. This is a call for a midterm turnout so overwhelming that it transcends party, reminding those in power that they are but stewards, not owners.
